Guncast outdoor swimming pool perfectly complements Cotswolds listed property
When the owner of a beautiful listed property in the Cotswolds required a new luxury swimming pool, Guncast was able to deliver an outdoor pool that both complements the estate property and fits within listed building regulations.
The client, who lives in London and rents the Cotswolds estate out as a holiday property, asked Guncast to create a relaxing space for guests to enjoy whilst staying at the property.
Because the property and the cow byre adjacent to the pool are listed buildings, Guncast had to work within the confines of the regulations that apply. The most important part of the brief was for the pool to blend into the natural surroundings, whilst being sympathetic to the listed cow byre featured in the walled garden. It was essential that the pool both blended into the green surround, and complemented traditional Cotswolds architecture and the Cotswold stone.
Guncast and the building contractor share an excellent existing working relationship, and worked harmoniously together to bring the client’s vision to life, in spite of slight delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The swimming pool installation in the Cotswold estate was smooth and the pool was ready for use in time for guests to enjoy during the summer.
Aesthetically, this was a traditional pool to complement the beautiful, natural setting, but as it is for dual use as both a domestic and semi-commercial swimming pool, a filtration system which could be set back or increased to cater for both uses, was installed.
The client and his guests are very happy with the Guncast designed outdoor swimming pool. The property, which is set in a small peaceful village in the Cotswolds, in Gloucestershire, England, was fully booked throughout the summer of 2020, and the client attributes that to the introduction of the elegant Guncast luxury swimming pool.
