Luxury residential outdoor pool

Categories: Outdoor, Residential

Location: UK

This contemporary and stylish outdoor swimming pool was designed and constructed by Guncast for a gorgeous family home in the UK, to be the focal point of a new, beautifully designed landscape.

The objective of the project was to replace a tired, existing pool with something elegant and modern. The design incorporates an elongated pool, with a deck level overflow system. The stunning pool and surround lighting can be seen in the night time shots below.

The deck level design was achieved using slots in the surround stone in place of the traditional grating. This kept the surround tiling as clean as possible and aided the contemporary feel. The green 600mm x 300mm porcelain tiles gave a clean and natural pool finish.

The pool is heated using an ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump) as opposed to a fossil fuel boiler. The automatic cover also has solar properties so not only does it reduce heat loss it provides heat to the pool water also.

The installation process was very smooth and Guncast worked together alongside conscientious builder, Chris, and Paul Kimberley, the landscape designer, to bring the project together.
