Guncast was appointed to design and construct a luxury 25m lap pool and hydrotherapy hot pool for the Goodluck Hope project in London. Designed to deliver both fitness and relaxation, the facility combines a dedicated swimming environment with integrated wellness features and advanced water treatment technology.
The centrepiece of the project is a 25m x 5m lap pool with an extended seating area, creating a versatile aquatic space for exercise, leisure and social interaction. The seating zone was designed as a continuation of the main pool, providing a generous relaxation area while maintaining a cohesive visual appearance throughout.
Complementing the main pool is a dedicated hydrotherapy hot pool, engineered to operate at 34°C and equipped with spa jets, an air blower and specialist circulation systems to enhance the user experience. Together, the two pools create a balanced wellness environment that caters to a variety of user needs.
Constructed using steel-reinforced, pneumatically projected concrete, both pools were designed for long-term durability and performance. The interiors were finished with mint green porcelain tiles, creating a clean, contemporary aesthetic while providing a hard-wearing finish suitable for a high-use environment.
Guncast delivered a comprehensive package encompassing pool design, structural engineering, waterproofing, filtration, water treatment, heating, underwater lighting and commissioning. Advanced UV disinfection systems, automatic chemical dosing and commercial-grade filtration equipment were incorporated to maintain exceptional water quality and operational efficiency.
Goodluck Hope demonstrates how thoughtful design and robust engineering can create wellness spaces that are as visually striking as they are practical, delivering a premium resident experience supported by reliable, advanced technology.
