An environmentally friendly swimming pool building 

If you are concerned about the environmental impact of a swimming pool, take inspiration from this luxurious converted barn swimming pool building in Sussex.  It has been carefully constructed to a strict level of energy efficiency. The building uses specialist materials to ensure high levels of insulation and air permeability. 

The swimming pool building houses a large swimming pool suitable for exercise and leisure. Additional features include a hydrotherapy pool with massage jets and cold plunge pool, with a sauna and steam room, plus changing rooms and showers.  

A striking swimming pool for entertaining 

This stunning barn conversion swimming pool and spa was renovated to include a large amount of space for socialising and entertaining guests, while the pool is large enough for exercise. 

The Guncast team worked closely with the architects and project manager on the renovation project ensuring the swimming pool design worked with the overall vision of the build. The dark slate tiles for the pool shell contrast beautifully with the rustic wooden ceiling beams, as well as the pale stone tiled surround. 

The grating and coping are finished to an exceptional standard, and the pool can be covered with an automatic pool cover which can be closed at the touch of the button.

A luxury indoor exercise pool 

This beautiful indoor swimming pool was designed and constructed by Guncast, primarily for the purpose of exercising. At 25m x 4m, and with a constant depth of 1.4m this classic swimming pool can facilitate lane swimming for two people at the same time. The beautiful, exposed oak framing is a principal feature of the internal space, which is protected in part thanks to Guncast’s specifically designed environmental control system. 

The swimming pool building features a concealed automatic pool cover and a natural stone appearance porcelain tile finish. The centreline of the offset roof structure aligned with the edge of the pool creates a unique look. 

An outdoor courtyard spa was created to complement the pool, providing a place to relax all year round. The all-concrete pool and spa constructions have been designed and finished perfectly in line with the theme of the project.
