What are the benefits of an infinity edge pool?
The main advantage is aesthetic: infinity or negative edge swimming pools are beautiful, creating a serene and tranquil space to relax and decompress. The illusion of water extending beyond the pool edge to the horizon is a breath-taking and eye-catching attribute for any indoor or outdoor swimming pool.
How does an infinity pool work?
Infinity pools are built on sloped ground to enable water along one or two sides of the pool to flow over the designated edges into a weir or secondary pool. More often than not, they overlook another body of water, such as the sea or a lake, making the pool appear to extend to infinity.
An infinity pool edge should not be confused with a deck level pool or overflow pool where the waters edge is the same level as the deck or patio and flows into a grate around the perimeter.
Does an infinity swimming pool have skimmers?
There are only a few or no skimmers or wall openings with infinity swimming pools. Instead, a channel next to the vanishing edge acts as a skimmer to filter and keep the surface water clean.
