The new KLAFS TARAS Outdoor Sauna, now available from Guncast

Take a look at this stunning wellness space created by KLAFS in Germany for a high-end residential property, in Arnstein, Germany. Featuring an impressive steam bath, a soothing dark wood sauna, and a meditative anteroom, this wellness space offers the perfect environment to regenerate both body and mind. The client was looking for multi-functional, bespoke design, and quickly decided that KLAFS should be involved with the project planning and installation, together with the project architects and builders. Experts at the KLAFS showroom in Schwäbische Hall, gave comprehensive guidance showed the client and architects the extensive range of KLAFS wellness products and accessories. A sauna with a view Following the consultation with the KLAFS team, the clients settled on a high-quality, individually designed KLAFS Sauna PROFI. The customised cabin was installed in a solid walnut finish. The KLAFS Sauna features a large glass front, giving a panoramic view of the client’s stunning garden space. With plenty of natural light during the day and warm indirect LED lighting at night, this wellness space was built to offer a soothing atmosphere around the clock. Whilst the dark American walnut of the sauna lends a cosy, comfortable atmosphere, the generous panorama window provides transparency and lightness. This contrasting interplay makes the sauna a spacious, light, and airy oasis of relaxation, which loses none of its feeling of security thanks to the warmth and natural beauty of the wooden walls and benches. The cabin’s benches, with their concealed mountings, give the appearance of floating and are a design highlight of this bespoke wellness project, complimented by the stepped ceiling. Opulent steam bath design A testimony to the meticulous planning and craftsmanship of this project can be found in the steam bath which adjoins the sauna, and was built into a beautiful, domed room. The entire steam room is fitted with luxury golden-brown Bisazza mosaic tiles and features a gold recess. The curves of the seating area and the recess posed a particular challenge for the builders - and the effort was more than worth it. The stylish and harmonious design helps to give every user of this steam bath a unique and soothing experience. Atmospheric sauna lighting and a 'starlit' steam room In addition to natural daylight, the sauna features indirect LED lighting on the backrest, which complements the perfectly coordinated lighting concept and creates the right atmosphere for every mood. The interior of the sauna and the relaxation area are designed with matching material, creating a harmonious effect between the two wellness spaces. The relaxation area (anteroom) is equipped with gentle, atmospheric light sources and offers the ideal atmosphere to simply unwind after a relaxing sauna bath. The unique steam bath space is complemented by the sparkling filigree stars of the POLAR STARRY HEAVEN design installed on the ceiling, combined with gentle, indirect LED lighting.
